Super Smash Bros Wii U
A weekly tournament for everyone's favourite game! Super Smash Bros Wii U is held in singles (1v1) and doubles (2v2). There is limited space and it is first come first serve. GameCube adapters are supplied, but controllers are not, players must bring their own controllers. The only controller considered legal for these tournaments are GameCube controllers.
The tournaments will always be "double elimination", meaning a player must lose two sets to be out of the tournament completely. The tournaments will only be run in a different style if it is mentioned, otherwise they will always be double elimination.
The prices are as follows: $7.50 for venue fee, $7.50 for the first tournament fee and $8.50 for any additional tournament variant entered. Therefore if someone want to come and watch, the fee would be $7.50. If they wanted to play in just singles or just doubles the fee would be $15.00 and if someone wanted to play in both singles and doubles, the fee would be $23.50.
The winnings pot goes fully to the players (unless a player plays in both doubles and singles, then $1 from the $16 total tournament fees is taken to help pay costs), and is divided up among the winning 3 players. Tournaments are held once a week on Saturdays, but please come in advance as space is limited. Doubles start at 4:00pm and singles start at 5:00pm.
Please note that all outside food must not may contain or contain any nuts or peanuts as this is a peanut free space.
Please read this document with the details of tournaments and the official rules if you are not already familiar with them. These are crucial to know before playing in a tournament.
